Olympus Health also provides a service for the removal of various skin growths.

At Olympus Health we provide a service for the removal of epidermal cysts, benign non-cancerous skin lesions, lipomas, basal cell carcinomas (benign skin cancers) and any other skin growths that are causing pain and/or irritation due to their size or location on the body.

What is a Lipoma?

A lipoma is a non cancerous (benign) lump that forms due to an overgrowth of fat cells. They are very common and can feel soft and squishy, be of any size and move slightly under the skin when you press them, They are not usually painful but can be unsightly or cause irritation and removal is usually recommended in these scenarios.

What is a cyst?

A cyst is a sac-like lump filled with fluid, pus, or other material that forms just beneath the skin. Cysts are usually harmless but can become painful, inflamed, or cosmetically bothersome over time. They often develop on the scalp, face, back, neck, or trunk, and can vary in size.

At Olympus Health, we assess and remove common types of skin cysts safely and efficiently under local anaesthetic with minimal downtime.
