Professor Abbas Tejani
MBChB, FRCGP, DOccMed, PGCCE, LFHom., CoBCA.
GP, Educator, Occupational Physician, Primary Care Surgeon
Founding member of Olympus Health Abbas is a Principal GP based in Leicester with a phenomenal experience in primary care and providing commissioned services. Abbas has worked for both the CCG and the Executive Board at his local hospital trust.
Abbas has worked as a Primary Care Surgeon for a number of years, undertaking 1,500 to 2,000 procedures a year. He has worked for 18 months undertaking skin cancer excisions in the Dermatology department at his local hospital trust. Additionally, he travels both nationally and internationally as an RCS-accredited tutor to teach Minor Surgery and Joint Injections to GPs.
Abbas is an Honorary Professor of Primary Care and Medical Education at the Centre for Primary Care Research at De Montfort University.
Dr Nic Rushman

GP, Primary Care Surgeon
Nic is a highly experienced GP with over 30 years in clinical practice, leadership, and community service development. Qualifying from Guy’s Hospital, London in 1992, Nic combines frontline general practice as Senior Partner at Long Lane Surgery, Coalville, with specialist work as a Vasectomy and Carpal Tunnel surgeon in Leicestershire.
He has played a key role in developing innovative community services, including co‑founding and directing the Academy of Community Health Experts, and previously serving as Chair of the GP Federation. Known for his practical, patient‑focused approach, Nic brings together clinical excellence and strategic thinking to improve how care is delivered.
Outside medicine, Nic is a keen cyclist and lifelong rugby enthusiast - interests that reflect his energy and focus on teamwork.
